CLASSES

Healthcare Provider Class

This course is intended for participants who must have a credential (a card) documenting successful completion of a course in CPR. Such credentials are typically required for people who provide healthcare to patients in a wide variety of settings, both in-hospital and outside the hospital (nurses, EMT’s, CNA’s)

1st Aid/CPR/AED Class

This course is intended for the lay rescuer who needs a credential (a card) documenting successful completion of a 1st Aid and CPR course which is often required in the workplace, i.e. schools, coaches, fitness center staff, day care staff, babysitters. This class includes CPR and AED.

Heartsaver CPR with AED

This course is intended for the lay rescuer who needs a credential (a card) documenting successful completion of a CPR course which is often required in the workplace, i.e. schools, coaches, fitness center staff, day care staff, babysitters. This class DOES NOT include 1st Aid.

1st Aid Class (No CPR/AED)

This course is intended for the lay rescuer who needs a credential (a card) documenting successful completion of a 1st Aid only course which is often required in the workplace, i.e. schools, coaches, fitness center staff, day care staff, babysitters. This class DOES NOT include CPR and AED.

CPR for Family and Friends

This class if for anyone other than a health care provider that would like to know how to do CPR. There is no age limit for this class. There is no certification (card) for this class. This class is by appointment only and great for the whole family! 815-467-5637 ext. 112

If you just need the Heart Saver CPR/AED certification and not 1st Aid, please indicate this on your registration form.

Attention Businesses: There is a $50 travel fee added if we have to hold the class at your facility.

Two ways to register:
1. In Person: Download and fill out the registration form. Bring the completed registration form and the non-refundable payment by registration deadline to the appropriate fire department Monday through Friday, 8am to 4pm. Registration forms and payments will not be accepted via mail, after 4pm or on weekends. Phone calls for pre-registration will not be accepted.

2. Pay online: For classes held in Minooka, click the Registration button below. There is a platform fee/convenience fee for online payments. Classes held in Channahon, can be paid for in person at the Channahon Fire Protection District Administrative Office, 24929 S. Center St., Channahon or online at https://www.channahonfire.com/cpr/

“Resident” is defined as any residence within the Minooka or Channahon Fire Districts.

Class placement is on a first come, first serve basis. Class starts promptly at 8am. Please arrive approximately 5-10 minutes early to sign in.
